Valheim + Gothic
...but the translations ruin it for me. It's jank, not Eurojank, but Russian jank. It wouldn't be a problem at all. I enjoy such games. Such games are made with passion. But the translations of this game just ruin it for me. Since many items or aspects of certain quests do not have any consistency within the translations, you simply often do not know what you should do. The map is also still in Russian. But that is not a big deal since the world is not that big. I wanted to finish the game because it is fun. But the translations are simply bad. P. S.: I know that the dev usually answers questions in English in the forums if you need help. But it can't be the way to help players that way instead of fixing the translations. And I also don't care if the English voice-over is made by AI. It sounds bad, yes. But still better than having bad translations in general and not knowing what the game wants you to do.1 found this helpful
Pretty good guys try this. Already got so much fun out of it. It is wanky and weird but there is a lot of love in this game. Some bugs but nothing game breaking till now. Translation is ok some things don't make sense but it is fine and you will understand the important stuff. Looking forward to 1.0!1 found this helpful
Really enjoyed the game. Old school Gothic style game. 7/10, hopefully there is a sequel!
enjoying the game so far.
The game is good; I completed it with pleasure. It's enjoyable to vacuum the game, so I spent 27 hours on the playthrough. The inspiration from Gothic 1-2 is strongly visible. The combat system is interesting, though unintuitive. The tutorial is quite clunky; I think because of it, a large part of the players drop out at the beginning. I played in Russian; the humor is very pleasant (but heavily based on Russian mythology), and the voice acting is great. The texts are sometimes excessively verbose. By May-June 2026, it needs a lot of polishing, in terms of geometry and collisions, economy, balance, minor bugs, etc. The second half of the game seems dragged out; you have to run a lot without clear landmarks, and enemies are mostly one-shot with a two-handed sword on normal difficulty. If the author spends time on polishing and balancing, it will be a top-tier game, but for now, it's just good, especially for fans of Gothic.
So many bugs and game breaking, quest breaking, awful translation (if you know Russian that would be helpful), and broken mechanics. I should have stopped playing this after 30 minutes, but I wanted to see how far I could get without breaking my keyboard in frustration,
