Decent game, bit repetitive. It's a play until you fall style game so there isn't much for story (so far anyway.) Definitely the right game for people who love combo games and repeating levels

I want to like this game, it's got good bones. The combat is enjoyable, and even at the beginning, I feel like I have a chance at beating the 1st boss with practice. That said, this game doesn't run right on steamdeck, which right now is the only option I've got. I have to restart the game each run because otherwise, it simply won't load. I've left the deck while it has a black screen, did literally anything else for 10min, and it's still a black screen. If you have a proper PC, maybe you'll have better luck.

I feel like a lot of things have been improved since the demo. The graphics still look great, the combat feels pretty smooth, and the music goes hard. I played for two hours straight and was still left wanting more. This game seems to have a lot of potential. The one thing I found a little annoying was the sound of the waterfall when you walk past it. Even though it's only a short section, it was way too loud for me. I can see how some people might like it because it realistically captures how loud a waterfall can be in real life. Personally, though, I don't. It would be great if there were an option in the settings to adjust the volume difference between environmental sounds like that and the rest of the game. I haven't picked up many different mods yet, so I can't really tell how much build variety this game will ultimately offer. I'll update this part after I've played for a while longer. This is an excellent & exciting game. Sekiro's environment meets Armored Core's pace in a solo-flawless-Destiny-Dungeon methodology, with crisp controls & mechanics that create a well-rounded & unique experience. Both temporary & permanent build mechanics are used, presenting players with the rare ability to experiment stylistically without needing to completely reset their characters. You're given the movement speed of an F-16, but the world is beautiful enough to wander around and look for secrets, while also being transparent about the path you're taking. Even in early access, this game is well-worth it's sub-$20 price tag. This framework presents extraordinary potential by simply adding players' favorite things: more characters, additional abilities, new maps, secret paths, and hidden bosses. Characters could potentially even gain new weapons to equip, completely changing their available skillsets. There's also clear potential for time trial modes & online leaderboards, despite its status as a single-player game. If you're thinking about buying this game, you probably should.

If you like DMC, get this game. 10/10
