Action Alien has destruction. It has weapons. It has aliens. It has explosions. It even has leveling up. But you know what it doesn’t have? Pulse. The game feels like a person who’s downed three liters of energy drink and still wants to sleep. Chaos is unfolding on the screen. Something is exploding. Someone is screaming. A horde of enemies is running toward you. And inside, there’s emptiness. So much emptiness that I started to worry about the aliens. Because it looked like they weren’t attacking Earth. They were trying to escape this game along with me.

4.0/10
Persistent issues remain, including unobtainable achievements and broken cloud saves.
A poorly crafted first-person shooter that falls short even by 2015 standards, with overall quality reminiscent of games from 2005 or earlier. Completing all achievements takes only 4-5 hours. The game consists of three sections: Story Mode, Survival Mode, and Gear & Skills. Its logic is simplistic: kill monsters → earn points → unlock skills and weapons → kill more monsters. However, its poor gameplay makes the overall experience dreadful. Honestly, if it weren't for the time-consuming achievement “Kill 10,000 Monsters,” I'd struggle to find motivation to play. Its Story Mode consists of three maps with equally simplistic logic: the first two maps require players to escape via vehicles, but unfortunately, the vehicles run out of fuel. Players must then scavenge for fuel and supplies while facing increasingly numerous monsters. As a “story” mode, it's incredibly dull and poorly executed. The final map functions more like a weapon test, forcing players to use every weapon type to defeat wave after wave of enemies. If you encounter achievement unlock issues—like getting stuck at…

So would I recommend this game to other players? After 100% this game I feel like the game is somewhat confused about what it wants to be. I would say that it has its good sides, but only after unlocking all of the perks in the game giving it the sort of arcade vibe it seems to be striving for in its survival mode.
A Mindless Shooter That’s Fun for a Bit, Then Quickly Runs Out of Steam
I picked up Action Alien expecting a simple, dumb fun shooter where I could just blast enemies and chill for a while, and to be fair, that’s exactly what it is… just not for very long. Right from the start, the game throws you into fast-paced arenas filled with aliens coming at you from all directions. There’s no deep setup, no real story to follow, it’s just you, your weapons, and waves of enemies. At first, I actually enjoyed that simplicity. It’s easy to jump in, start shooting, and not think too much. Perfect for short sessions when you just want something quick and straightforward. The shooting itself feels decent enough. Weapons have some impact, enemies react, and there’s a constant flow of action. For the first few levels, it’s kind of satisfying to mow down waves and survive longer each time. There’s a bit of that arcade-style loop where you try to beat your previous performance, which kept me engaged for a while. But the problem is how fast everything starts to feel the same. There’s not much variety in enemies, environments, or gameplay mechanics. After a short time, I felt like …
