Take command of the ultimate weapon and defend mankind in AEGIS 2186. Protect Earth from an overwhelming alien assault in this intense retro arcade survival-shooter.
The year is 2186 - a decade after The Event and the discovery of the Trigons; a previously invisible and extremely advanced other-dimensional species inhabiting our solar system. In response, The Moon has been transformed into an defensive weapon of unlimited power called Aegis, you alone must operate this weapon efficiently and strategically to prevent the inevitable destruction of Earth!
Charge energy bullets of colossal size and power and destroy enemy ships before they reach combat range! Utilize nuclear cluster missiles and manage your energy and shield levels tactically to survive. Defeat enemies to gain power as the real bulk of the enemy fleet arrives with their far more formidable ships. The enemy is brutal and unforgiving, there won't be a single moment to rest and a single strategic error could lead to Earth's demise!

Can you survive 2 minutes? It's a very simple but difficult game. Similar to Asteroids, except you're an immobile circle in the center of the screen that can only rotate 360 degrees but not move otherwise. Enemies (triangles of varying sizes) come directly at you from all directions. Smaller enemies take fewer shots to kill than larger ones. Arrow keys rotate. Spacebar fires your main weapon. Hold spacebar for a larger shot that does more damage. Each shot you take depletes the shot power bar. Press Q to fire heat-seeking missiles, of which you have a limited supply, so use them only in emergencies. The main missle will break off into a series of smaller missiles after striking its first target. Your shield deflects enemy shots back at them, but does not hold up for long. It will replenish itself occasionally. Defeating bosses (giant triangles) will drop powerups that you can use to levl up your shot power, regain health, etc. There is an element of randomness which can make it frustrating, but also leads to the urge to try it one more time. I guess this game will never leave early access.
I recommend this game, it's a cool retro throwback to the days of fun simple games, you can just dip in and out for some fast fun. It's pretty intense and exciting to try and survive and get a good time on the leaderboard.
Great Gameplay. Awesome Music (Though it is just the one song...:( ) I love shooting giant white balls at the pink triangles. I am looking forward to more updates and things like upgrades. https://youtu.be/lceRRz26c3g
