Aether’s Echo: Yazid’s Paradox is an indie puzzle-platformer that blends precise movement mechanics, time manipulation, and atmospheric storytelling into a memorable adventure. Developed by Yazan ili pika and published by QuanticXero, the game follows a young mute protagonist named Yazid as he ascends a mysterious mountain filled with dangers, secrets, and strange phenomena. While its premise may initially seem familiar to fans of modern platformers, the game gradually reveals its own identity through creative mechanics and a narrative that explores themes of determination, consequence, and self-discovery. The story unfolds with a minimalist approach that allows players to piece together its mysteries through exploration and observation. Yazid's journey is driven by an unwavering desire to reach the summit of a mountain that has already claimed countless lives. Along the way, he encounters unusual characters, hidden truths, and manifestations that appear linked to his own existence. Rather than relying on lengthy dialogue sequences, the game communicates much of its narrative through environmental design, symbolic encounters, and carefully crafted moments that encourage interpreta…

A very cute fun game. I admittedly did rage quit because I had some difficulty which is expected from a game like this but overall the game was enjoyable. I had to do a lot of thinking. Some notes I have are that a settings menu would be great to add, especially a slider for the music for those that prefer no in game music. Please turn down the audio for the very beginning, it was super loud. and fix the music looping for the levels so it doesn't just cut off.

I spent approximately two hours playing Aether’s Echo. Strengths and Enjoyable Mechanics Several elements make the game both engaging and challenging: The time-reversal mechanic, combined with day/night shifting, creates a unique and enjoyable platforming experience. The ability to rewind after colliding with enemies or spikes reduces frustration while encouraging experimentation. Temporarily losing the ability to rewind time adds a meaningful layer of difficulty, making successful level completion especially rewarding. Areas for Potential Improvement There are a few aspects I would enjoy seeing refined in a future update or sequel: Minor spelling and grammar errors could be addressed. This is not a major issue, and running the text through a tool like Grammarly would likely resolve most of them. A tutorial or clearer introduction to mechanics would be helpful. While some players enjoy discovering systems on their own, brief explanations could improve accessibility. A clearer visual or narrative theme. The hooded figure featured in the game’s artwork is visually compelling, and incorporating it (or a hoodless variation) into the playable character could strengthen the gam…

Solid game, kinda like I Wanna Be The Guy meets Prince of Persia. there were some neat mechanics too. one tiny nitpick is occasional crashing but that's rectified by being able to select any level you want when pressing play at the menu screen so you don't really lose progress. Looking forward to more projects from you! Here's my (brief) playthrough if anyone wants to watch: https://www.youtube.com/live/QPaxZaAW7hU

I suck at platformers, but I genuinely had a great time moving throughout this cool world and figuring out all of the mechanics and how to really use them to make progress. I haven't finished it yet, but the levels are super fun and I intend on finishing them in the future!
