About Ahro
Ahro is an atmospheric, combat-free, side-scrolling adventure that takes place in an intriguing world of deep lore. It is full of mystery with moments that provide space for reflection and interpretation.
Along the way, you will need to release Ahro’s spirit to travel into the sky and uncover new items, places, and secrets. You’ll also need to figure out how to reach hard-to-access areas as you navigate through the imperial occupied Centerlands.
A Journey of Body and Spirit
The story begins when Ahro starts experiencing frequent and distressing breakdowns. After finding only mild relief from herbal medicine, he sets out in search of a legendary miracle cure. As events unfold, the mysteries will both deepen and come into focus.

Ahro is very unique and atmospheric, I've been really liking it so far! The lore is very intriguing and it's fun trying to figure out all the challenges. I especially appreciate the metaphors for mental illness and I think anyone struggling with anxiety will feel seen.1 found this helpful
A unique, contemplative, mysterious, and simultaneously peaceful and stressful experience. Also love the aesthetic with the patterns and grainy/noise-y visual effects that remind me of experiences with anxiety and stress.
Ahro is a game about a man on a journey to solve his health-related struggles. Along the way, he encounters plenty of atmospheric scenery and various mysteries in an Eastern-themed setting. But if Ahro wastes too much time, he apparently starts hallucinating and gets attacked by some form of darkness that — in lo-fi style — sort of resembles grape jello cubes. All kidding aside, the game's puzzles can be challenging, but are solvable with exploration and patience. I highly recommend it to those who want to unwind to a mostly chill game.
After playing this game, I found it intriguing and even fascinating. Releasing ahro’s spirit can lead to unknown areas that provide different challenges.
It was intriguing playing Ahro, I really like the mystery of it. But, even though it is mysterious, I felt a kinda peace playing it! It’s got my thumbs up! 👍🏻
I haven't played it all because life is busy but I feel like I'm about halfway through. It's a cool little game. There are lore elements that I didn't know it would have--like it gives you enough for context without drowning you in text. The animation is also nice. I think the trailer must have gotten a bit compressed but it's sharp and crisp in a nice way in the game. It's got those side-scrolling, story based, and a little movement mechanic kind of game play. If you dig that then check it out.
