About Akyrikon VR
Akyrikon VR is a mix of VR fitness game and RPG. Instead of typical motivation of getting the highest score in the leaderboards, here your motivation is getting to higher level, so you can defeat the next monster and progress in the story. Akyrikon needs you. Can you answer the call?
Features
- training map for the song is generated every time - so playing the same song does not mean the same play
- you can train with music included (great songs from Dizaro and LiQWYD), or use your own music (supported formats: wav, mp3 and ogg)
- you can play just one song or specify your own playlist for today
- different sceneries - train in a cave, forest, on a mountain, or maybe you would like to train on the Moon?
- settings - you can specify whether you want a no-squat gameplay, or even more squats, whether you have a small playspace or what colors do you want for your spheres and wall
- 12 different equippable skills and 4 auras for you to use against challenging foes in missions
- missions consisting of the main story line and fight similar to training, where you charge your skills by catching the spheres with the correct hand
- missions contain difficulty slider, so if normal difficulty became too easy, you can change foe's attack, defense or hp to make it more interesting

Full disclosure: I'm developing a VR rhythm game and a big fan of the direction VR exercise is going. The orbs will have your shoulders burning quickly, the way they are spaced. Pretty basic game, but I still want to train and continue the missions and progress. This RPG concept is onto something and needs further exploring. Didn't find any bugs and nice to have custom music challenge generator on release (maybe add ability to add music by folder). Rhythm hits have great timing. The orb sounds don't match any type of music I know of and it's a delayed sound, so have the catch sound disabled. Played on Rift S3 found this helpful
The concept behind this game is brilliant. RPG where you do fitness rhythm game battles. You also play the fitness rhythm game to grind and level up. Feels different from other rhythm games that feel like there's no point besides getting to the end of the song. This one you feel motivated because you need to level up to beat the next battle. Doesn't look like much from the screenshots but it has a lite story that's actually kind of interesting, tbh and some nice character art. Which as a rhythm/fitness game that's enough to make it stand out from the pack.1 found this helpful
Playing on an Oculus Quest 2 with virtual desktop. I've played a lot of vr rhythm games and this one is just so unique. I love it. I'm glad there was a demo since my headset isn't listed as one of the ones supported. Try the demo, then buy the game. It's very reasonably priced.1 found this helpful
