Almohadin: escape from the basement (AEFTB) is an indie fast-paced 2D precision platformer packed with colorful visuals and bullet hell action. Face a story-rich cartoony adventure inspired by difficult retro side scroller arcade games!The Basement holds many mysteries. Almohadin must take risks and uncover them in order to reach the outside world. Join him on his adventure!

Story Mode

A bunch of levels await you with progressive difficulty and the narrative of a visual novel that immerses you in the story of Almohadin, a pillow that magically comes to life and decides to escape from the basement.

Survive and fight!

Bosses - these powerful individuals will try to kill you with all their might. Defend yourself!Rescue - hundreds of subjects are imprisoned in the basement. Make a difference and save them!Massacre - annihilate all the monsters that cross your path. Cleanse the infested areas. Restore peace!Mechanics - along the way, you will find many ways to become more powerful: alfajores that enhance your movement, weapons, teleportation pills, cans of beans that help you fly (I won't explain how...), invincibility potions, and much more!

Game Modes!

In these levels you must win as fast as possible. Compete against other players to see who is the fastest escapist. Some levels are extremely difficult!Run once again...

Should you play it? Maybe, considering it's free, the decision is easier to make, but I recommend that you already enjoy games like Geometry Dash. This game is a precision platformer with a wide variety of enemies and perks to help you progress. In the campaign, the goal is to learn the basics (this is just the beginning), and then there are the tryhard modes (speedrun/no hit) where even more mechanics are introduced. It's a very ambitious project that was completed but could have been bigger if it had received more support (the dev is willing to keep updating it anyway, according to what he said on the discord server). It would have been great to see it with more game modes and many more levels. Even so, it apparently offers over 20 hours of playtime to finish all the content. And over 50 if you want to master it. This is the reality of Steam's hidden gems: developers don't make a living off this and can't afford to spend years on the same project. That's what Talio Dev did, creating his second game (TEKO), a Roguelike Deckbuilder; I sincerely hope it does much better, he deserves it.
