ALONE, developed by DakeCraft and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, is a tightly focused top-down horror experience that demonstrates how simplicity can be used effectively to create tension and unease. Built using RPG Maker, the game does not rely on advanced visuals or complex systems, but instead constructs its atmosphere through careful pacing, confined environments, and the constant presence of danger. The story centers on a man named Yeongchul who finds himself trapped inside his own home, pursued by an unknown force that turns a familiar space into something deeply unsettling. Short and simple indie game. It is more of a story focused game than a puzzle game. The English translation is not the best but I found it charming. Overall, I enjoyed it.
ALONE is a short horror RPG Maker game with a yandere theme, meaning there's an obsessively in love character who wants to kill you (we all love these). You can finish the whole thing in under an hour including all the endings and achievements. The game also lets you skip dialogue so replaying it doesn't feel like a chore. The art is nice and the atmosphere works well. The dialogue drags on sometimes, which feels a little bit annoying. Especially the protagonist's inner thoughts, which kind of kills the pacing. English translation is a bit rough and text occasionally goes outside the frame, but you can figure out what's happening from context. Other than that, the "main gameplay loop" of finding things you require was a bit irritating for me. For the price it's a fair deal. If you want something short and atmospheric for an evening, it's worth a shot.
fun little yandere RPG horror maker game and its cheap need i say more!??!?!
