“Yer a Wizard..and destruction incarnate!” The game is a multifaceted marvel of a roguelite. There are a plethora builds to approach the game with: Want to be a necromancer with an army of undead fairies and otherworldly beings? You can. Want to surround yourself with an orbiting deadly whirlwind of electrical and icy chaos with a sword that creates gravity vortexes when you hit things with it, go for it! The spell crafting involves planning for chaos (though it can get overpowered mid-late game), with rules for triggering new spells on collision/destruction/initial cast and their respective mana costs. One of my favorite combinations is surrounding a boomerang with orbiting leaves that each cast explosions every time they hit something. Add to this a system of perks, artifacts, starter classes altars for blessing items, and enchanting melee weapons, and you have a lot to work with. I've unlocked most items in the game and counted 100s of relics & spells. You’ll need to cycle through them as your adversaries have strengths/weaknesses to the various elements. The game also features hundreds of fantasy creatures, along with a good variety of minibosses and bosses. At the time o…3 found this helpful
A genuinely fun game, which is clearly inspired by Dead Cells and reminds me of Noita in some aspects. The pixel art and music are beautiful, and the spell-crafting system is awesome! The game is still rough around the edges, but that's to be expected in early access. Other reviewers have already commented on the writing, and apart from that, I have only two gripes so far: 1) Platforming sections feel too difficult to do cleanly, and not very satisfying overall. 2) I wish each biome had a stronger identity from the level-design perspective. Unlike Dead Cells (which had excellent level generation algorithms, blending randomness and distinct, unique elements that made each location stand out), the elemental biomes in this game felt kind of the same to me, differing mostly in the color palette and enemy roster. Even with these in mind though, the game is worth the price, and I know I'll have many hours of fun playing it!2 found this helpful
There's good & bad here. The good first: - Beautiful pixel art - Engaging + fun game loop - Fun upgrade tree - Cute & unique character art - Spell combining system is GOOD The bad: - Other reviewers have pointed this out, but it's easy to lose your wizard amongst all the magic and enemies on the screen. Even just standing still, they can be lost in the bg. - Cringe dialogue. I just skipped past it. To be more specific, too many attempts at quipping and humour when 1) it's not hitting and 2) there's no reason for it. I believe this game has potential. I'll be keeping a close eye on it, and likely be playing more of it in the meantime. I hope to see it grow into itself :)2 found this helpful
Fun, strong potential, reminiscent of Noita, but unique. Completely unbootable on super-ultra wide monitors though. cannot navigate to menu to change monitor resolution. (Played on laptop earlier, was fun)1 found this helpful

This game has been very addicting since I picked it up. One of the very first runs I was able to combine spells and enhancements to create an infinite amount of orbiting white balls that increased with each cast till my frame rate dropped to 1. I left it alone for an hour and the spells were still trying to spawn in while my steam deck was cooking itself. Another time I created something similar with 3 different creature spawning spells all maxed out, then merged into a rainbow scythe that when swung would produce a seemingly never-ending swarm of monsters. This game is so much fun when you get lucky and find the prefect combinations. I play on my lunch hour at work and have a blast every time. This game is quite something, thank you for making it!1 found this helpful
