Anymaker

Overall the games thought is great, though how it teaches you through the steps and how things work(a journal) it doesn't do the best job of keeping it "short & simple". The movement and player inventory just feels slow and almost tacky. The building is somewhat ok with little aspects that could be improved like how it tells where you are trying to extend a "beam". The mechanics to build something from scratch is very difficult and time consuming with a really big learning curve, with this I think you should wait till these bugs get fixed and maybe a discount. For context I have around 1,000hrs in Stormworks.

[h1] This is an early access game [/h1] [h2] please consider this before you buy this game [/h2] if you played stormworks in it's early days then you know what to expect from this game, if you have never played stormworks before this game will probably annoy you quite a bit as there is no explination on how to do anything other then the basic tutorial on how to survive. The game itself is quite good, but if you aren't used to the sort of mechanics that are used in this game then you probably won't have a fun time.It is definitly a early access game as it just got released 2 days ago, at the time of posting. you shouldn't expect a finished product, but for the point it is at, where it just got released it is amazing. It gives me the same feeling i got when i first started playing stormworks. The building mechanics are intricit, and the mechanics are detailed.anyway so people do not like anymaker apparently. for something that was released 7 days ago it's pretty fun.

I love it, i know it is in its early stage but so much potential awaits it, keep improving the game and do not stop.

This game has a lot of potential, but calling this an Early Access is generous. This feels like an alpha, proof of concept type deal. I'm giving it a positive review to try and offset a tiny bit the dumb negative reviews that people are leaving, [b] but this one maybe should have stayed in the oven longer for sure. [/b] There's very little onboarding outside of the absolute bare minimum, technical aspects of the game are not explained at all so unless you know how engines and things work (which I do not) it's tough to do anything. I haven't discovered any crafting mechanics, maybe they exist but for the most part it seems like you're just supposed to loot stuff and scavenge and build out of that which is fine, but really should be supplemented with crafting rather than replacing it. I think being able to break down vehicles/buildings you find for their parts/materials would be awesome, paired with the very technical simulation that could be groundbreaking.

I think Anymaker is exceptional for being in early access, I absolutely love this game but it does have some glitchy and rough around the edges parts of the game but thats to be expected. The gun play feels really nice, my only complaint is the movement, its very sluggish feeling and is very similar to how you move in stormworks, just slower and less agile. I think this game will be amazing once the developers polish many things. I am looking forward to the future of Anymaker! also, 25 dollars for this? no. 15 dollars for this? yes.
