If I were using a different standard, such as “Most impressive game made in 18 days” I’d probably be a lot more favorable in my judgment; for what it is, [i]Apoapsis[/i] is very impressive. Looking at it as a Mini-Metroidvania with a $5 price tag though, it’s still a fun game – in fact it barely has time to become boring. Two years ago — H-content will be there later. @ One year — Still thinking about new features. @ Somewhere later — "Jiggle animations; Suggestive artwork". No this is not an excuse to act like content is here, or it's coming soon. Yeah, it's cheap af, but as the game itself it generally not even close to be decent, whole sell-point was H-content promised to be later, and two years after it's still not here, dev is probably dead when it comes to any kind of communication. So no, it's not coming, don't buy this.

Note: Paying 4.99, full price for this on itch.io before the Steam release, and then waiting only to find the price is knocked down to 2.99, just angers me because there is no reason to knock down the price, unless the developer knew this game was not worth 4.99 at all! - Although on the itch.io page, there were mentions of extra down-the-road content, that still doesn't justify the current price at 2.99 as of launch. It has as much content as many free side-scrolling online flash games you can find on Newgrounds. Yet as stated in the description, it will take a person ONLY about 15 minutes just to get through it. However, there is basically ZERO replayability, and ALMOST nothing was changed from the itch.io release, which was made for the Ludum Dare 43 game jam about 1 month ago. - Considering that there are other games out there, even on Steam that are 2.99 or less that contain more than 15 minutes of content, this game doesn't hold up well comparatively, e.g. Downwell for about 1.00 USD. For 0'79 it's a pretty cool minivania, though it definitely lacks a lot of polish. I faced a lot of bugs and an achievement won't pop up, and I would be pretty mad if I paid 5 bucks, as it seems this game did a while ago, but for its price I can't say I wasn't entertained. A pity it seems like it won't receive more support, because if this was polished, refined and expanded we could have a pretty cool metroid-like in our hands.

A short, challenging but fun Metroidvania style shooter! This really tests your skills and doesn't pull any punches, starting you off with very limited resources. However if you're a veteran at these types of games it's not hard to find all the secret power ups to make your sexy space adventurer stronger and more equipped to face this hostile planet filled with strange creatures! Try to expand your HP as soon as possible, otherwise you're going to see the game over screen a lot! If you have 20 minutes to kill this is a great buy for a short burst of fun!
