Ascent DX

i really enjoyed this game, i felt some kind of dread along with the explorer. really fun 9/10 got lost a couple times

Short but sweet, loved exploring this tiny world.

A nice free, short, metroidvania game, should take only about an hour, so why not give it a try? Good story line for such a short game.

It's a free metroidvania with a perfectly small scope. It's a condensed, intricate world, so you probably will get lost just long enough to exercise your new movement abilities in areas you might not otherwise return to. The gamefeel is very comfortable despite how it looks. I'm a little pretentious so I would have enjoyed if the game had a little more friction to suit the serious tone of the story being told, but for most people I think it'll just be a great short nonlinear platformer. This is one of those free games that is worth your time.
