Environmental Station Alpha

"Difficult yet satisfying" is a phrase that could apply to the exploration, combat, or puzzles of this game. That being said, it's definitely a niche game that isn't going to scratch the itch for everyone. If you like taking notes and searching for secrets in games like Tunic, Animal Well, or Blue Prince, you'd probably enjoy this game.

I really really liked the vibe of this game. Atmosphere is incredible, movement is mostly fun, the exploration is so good. However it simply lacks the quality of life needed for being an enjoying game. Saving mechanics that doesn't save your upgrades is really really bad and considering it's a pretty difficult game (at least for me), it becomes very tedious and repetitive in certain sections. I didn't finish it, I heard that the endgame is incredible, and I would like to do it, but right now it's not for me

I'm not sure how this game ended up in my library, but I'm glad it did. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a metroidvinia to play. There were some bosses that can be challenging but not overwhelming with some practice. The core game is gameplay loop is standard, but there are levels of secrets to explore for those few committed players who want a game that you can really sink your teeth into (Think Tunic, Animal Well).
