About Arcanists

Arcanists is a thrilling competitive + casual, multiplayer, turn-based, artillery game.
Players take turns in a race against the clock, utilizing an array of spells to defeat their opponents in battle!
Victory is accomplished by becoming the 'last man standing' (or last team) after all other players have been reduced to zero hitpoints.

Achievements are given for completing certain challenges in Arcanists and unlock special awards such as new outfits to use within Character Creation. These award Orb Points and Orb Coins, some of which are needed for the Prestige requirements (see below re. Prestige).
While some achievements are very easy to get, others are very difficult and could take several weeks to execute as one waits for the right circumstances to occur within the game!

I don't even know where to start. I guess ill just start with this. The game is awful. why? 1. Community. The community is FULL of racist, hateful, spiteful nerds. These people really sit on this 2d pixel game 26 hours a day and will absolutely lose their minds on players saying the most heinous things they can think of to them in the chat, and then there are players who will just harass/bully/attack you for no reason out of nowhere. People you don't even know through playing the game. The reason you might not know them is because the game has a small community so everyone knows everyone, but many of the players create countless alternate accounts, and pretend to be someone totally different. The game really is full of a bunch of weirdos. 2. Rate system. - easily abused by the games longest playing people. I played daily. There is an entire "clique" that actively avoids queuing publicly and plays ranked games amongst their "friends" or just people they have played the game with for a long time. They inflate their ranks, act high and mighty, and have major superiority complexes. Most of these people I have never even played a public match against, even when the game was reset a…3 found this helpful
Awful game riddled with bugs and terrible mods. Nothing like the Jagex original2 found this helpful
This is not the Arcanists you remember from Jagex. This one has a lot of new systems added that ruin the flow of the game not to mention the new added spell books that seem like they did not go through a balance and checks pass. The game is also dead, if your looking for matches you will just face the same 3 people over and over.1 found this helpful
This game sucks I hate it so much, old and the community is entirely toxic1 found this helpful
very accurate to the original game, nostalgic with many qol upgrades and options
The game looks and plays exactly the same as the original, so great job there. But the lack of players is unfortunate. And I think there are 2 reasons for this: 1) Not enough marketing. I feel there are still lots of people who miss Arcanists, but they just don't realize that this exists. 2) Too many new spells This is a controversial topic. Perhaps the game would get boring and have even less players if there were no new spells. But overall, I feel that there are TOO many new spells, and they're TOO powerful, and so you've got a power creep scenario. The game has a tiny but highly dedicated group of players. I fear the developers are too afraid of losing this core group, and thus too afraid to make changes that could bring in more players. However, this assumes that they WANT more players, which, come to think of it, seems to not be true.
