Everything is scarier when you’re the size of a loaf of bread. Baby Blues Nightmares - Toddler Horror Game Prologue tells the beginning of a surprisingly creepy and emotional story. A mother tells her baby a bedtime story… and shortly after, the nightmare begins. You have to escape the house while dealing with terrifying stuffed animals, arguing parents, and a world that feels way too big and threatening. The atmosphere is genuinely great. Because you’re playing as such a small and helpless child, everything feels dangerous — even normal rooms suddenly become nightmare fuel. You get chased, startled, and constantly feel vulnerable. And honestly? The fact that this kid apparently loves the ugliest stuffed animals imaginable really doesn’t help xD The prologue does a very good job setting up a story that already feels both interesting and kind of heartbreaking. It definitely made me want to see more ^^

Most of the audio is way to maxed out. The opening music for the menu is nice. Everything else feels like someone took the real audio and made it into a "BASS BOOSTED" meme. If you bump into a wall or object while holding a prop, the prop can disappear or start jittering. I think that's a standard Unreal issue though. If you restart the game means sitting through an unskippable cutscene. And the writing for it isn't great: a) It's absolutely not a bedtime story a baby sitter would tell their charge; and b) it talks about how one toy was mean, then calls it the "nicest". Presumably they meant the nicest looking but that's not what they said. The fighting parents dialogue is decent, but too short for how long it needs to run. It loops over and over and over and over... The gameplay is fine, I guess. But it's just bog-standard and not enough to overcome the negatives.
