Backrooms - 2005

I've played a good handful of these sorts of games at this point, so I knew what to expect going into this. For the price, especially if you get it on sale, this is one is an alright time. It's a bit bare, and may feel long or short depending on how you go about it. The value of your time with a game like this really comes down to how much you enjoy the introspective wandering of it all. I will say, if you're someone who prefers these games when there's not something chasing you, then you'll be happy to know that that isn't really a thing. That's not to say there aren't any creepy moments, but you don't have to worry about it devolving into thing running at you down a corridor gameplay. So, there's that. All in all, I'd say this is a nice first project, and would be interested in seeing more from the dev.

A decent Backrooms game that will probably take you about an hour to complete. Good visuals, sound design works well to create a suitably creepy atmosphere, and there is sufficient variety of different Backrooms environments to look at. ive tried starting this game a couple times, this last time i got clipped into one of the walls where u have to climb under. i uncrouched a second too early and got stuck and couldnt crouch back down. i dont mind replaying some content. but you really should have checkpoints if ur game is an hour plus. would love to try again down the road if some of the bugs get ironed out, and some quality of life things get added. cause it felt like this game was nailing down the vibe

This game is fun and looks lovely. The environments are well made however I had two big issues that made me unable to finish chapter one and you cannot play chapter two until you have completed chapter one so I couldn't try that one. The atmosphere is amazing and the rooms are well designed however the game doesn't give you a flashlight until I think about halfway through and its so dark without it. When you do finally get one it doesn't tell you about it, so you are wandering in darkness. The second issue is that a certain area next to white glowing dots didn't have a wall and I fell though the map. The game doesn't have a save feature so after 2 hours and 15 minutes I didn't want to restart. Overall 4/10 It's a fun game but sadly it is buggy and needs to give you a flashlight from the very start. Either way you may like it so maybe give it a try.
