About BeaterCore

✦ AI summary

BeaterCore is an arcade racing game where you buy, repair, and restore cheap beater cars before taking them through career races and multiplayer events. What sets it apart is the constant resource management—you'll need to field repair between races, carefully pack spare parts in your trunk, and adapt your rides to seasonal track conditions while managing relationships with in-game characters.

beaterCore is an arcade racing game for those who prefer cheap rusty beaters over specialized sports cars. Buy, repair, restore, and tune your dream project car. Take part in racing events and work your way through the career mode.

Garage

Repair your car in first person mode. Purchase furniture and stockpile as many spare parts as you can - you're going to need them.

Field repair

In beaterCore you'll have to make quick repairs in-between races. Everything can go wrong, and you must be prepared for it! Store items in your car's trunk, but be wise with what you bring with you - space is limited.

Split screen

Play locally with up to four players on the same screen. Keyboard controls are fully supported!

Multiplayer

If career mode is not enough - you can always compete against your friends in online races. You're still going to need your resource management skills - multiplayer races affect your cars the same way as in career mode! Show off your pristine ride, or surprise your friends with track-specific tuning.

Multiple charismatic characters

beaterCore features multiple in-game characters you'll have to interact with. Take sponsorships, complete quests, and unlock additional content as you build relationships with them.

Different times of year

Experience tracks across different times of year. Prepare your car for icy winter conditions or enjoy the warm, vibrant colors of autumn.

✦ AI summary

BeaterCore is a car building and racing game with satisfying vehicle customization and repair mechanics that players enjoy, though opinions split on its handling model and AI behavior. The visual style is appreciated by most, though some find it initially fuzzy, and players consistently request more engine upgrade options like turbos and additional customization features.

Its okay, its kind of like Redline or My Summer Car i guess, i only played the former but you get a car, you build it, you modify it, if you damage it in a race you gotta repair it part by part. I just don't vibe with the handling, and the AI clearly has some grip advantage, altho i will say that they will often make mistakes and even fly off the track, so they are fair since they for the most part deal with similar issues to you. Visual style is okay, at first it was really fuzzy but i just turned on SMAA, it looks better that way imho. Did i say i don't vibe with the handling? I don't vibe with the handling. Also the game acts very funky with the overlay.

In general it's PEAK but: > the AI is sometimes bugged since the beginning which can indicate that they broke down or the game is actually bugged > the AI sometimes can't drive uphill which I reckon could be possible with worn tires or smth else but then how tf do they drive pretty well on the rest of the track, there is slight inbalance here > the AI drives off the track on EVERY lap on CERTAIN corners on CERTAIN tracks > the AI sometimes feels faster than they should, mainly while accelerating, I guess the last 2 points could be caused by rubberbanding if it's in the game at all > Alexey Vasiliev seems the most unbalanced AI of all, at least in the 1400 Class > the Field Repair during Rainy stages doesn't have rain for some reason XD Even after all this, it's still a PEAK game

Fun car management and gameplay. I hope more engine/drivetrain customization is added in the future like turbos.

Liked it. Still I get angry when ai kicks me out of the road but that what makes it fun. Things i hope to see in the future: inventory(maybe like slots) rims little engine upgrades( like adding turbo or other improved parts.) Overall its promising game <3
