Beer Runner (Lord Drw Games)

Breath of fresh air… Is the TL:DR of this review. In the times where most games hold you by your hand in every step, Beer Runner understands that players have their own brain and can figure things out on their own, while still giving enough information so that you know what is the objective and how to play the game. The game was hard for me (though I’ll admit, I don’t often play games where platforming plays a major role), but not so much that I would get into a bottle-neck where I simply couldn’t succeed. A little bit of practice and good timing was all that was required or just to stop for a few moments and plan ahead. I didn’t expect that I would love this part, but the music is really fitting and really enjoyable and I do play certain *cough* Bethesda *cough* game just because of the chosen soundtrack. Although the story of the game is quite basic, I do find it quite an amusing concept. Overall, it was a pleasant experience (I should say pleasantly stressful when things didn’t go well on the first try).

Challenging parkour game about a robot delivering a keg of beer. The movement is kinda janky-ish, but each course is nice on its own and very doable, just need to arm yourself with some patience, overall it was a good time. Reminder that some courses require you pressing a button to actually start them!

Z dob prvních Unrealů jsem byl obrovským fanouškem typu her (modů) zvaných "Bunny Tracks", ve kterých nerozhodovalo KDA hráčů, ale jejich agilita ve hře. Tato hra je prakticky stavěná ve stejném duchu. Nemá sice možnost multiplayeru, ve kterém by se mohl real-time sledovat progres ostatních hráčů, ale má tabuli, ve které se vypisuje score ostatních lidí, se kterými můžete soutěžit v překonávání časů. Princip hry je jednoduchý - odnést barel z bodu A do bodu B, překonat při tom hromadu překážek a nástrah a být přitom rychlejší než ostatní. :)
