Pretty neat little game. Benny's a silly little guy. The puzzles are pretty good overall, though keep in mind one literally requires you to solve a type of cypher, so you either need to already have this niche outside knowledge, or look up how the cypher method works. I've always had mixed feelings about those types of puzzles. It reminds me of 90's era adventure games that expected kids to know morse code when no one was being taught morse code anymore. Still, for the price this is a fun little puzzle horror experience.
It brings nothing new to this kind of games.
I played Benny Bash, but I find it hard to give a truly clear opinion on my experience because it was heavily affected by serious rendering issues. On newer systems, the game shows completely glitched textures, and the only workaround I found was forcing OpenGL3 through the launch options. Even then, the problem is not fully fixed. Because of this, I ended up playing with completely broken colors, textures, and lighting, which made the experience barely playable at times. Even so, I still managed to finish the game fairly easily, mainly because the Super Mario style platforming is quite simple and the puzzles do not require much effort. The real disappointment is that the more horror focused parts, which should have had the strongest impact, were heavily undermined by how the game looked on my system. That is a shame, because it makes it difficult to judge the game for what it is actually trying to be. I hope the developers find a way to fix these problems. For now, though, between the graphical issues and an experience that is already fairly easy on its own, I do not feel comfortable leaving a positive review. Maybe other players will have better luck than I did, but I cannot r…
TLDR: Great game however very challenging Story - 6/10 could be better but ending left more to be desired gameplay - 9/10 I really like the whole game interacting with the world and the puzzles Difficulty - 8/10 in the beginning the game is so easy a toddler could play it but the last world is so difficult you might want to punch a hole in your wall As others have pointed out in their reviews. The ending wasn't the best. I can't really say I disagree with them. However, I think if the developer makes a DLC or sequel to this game they have a strong foundation to work off of. Just as long as they don't do what other games do and try to make it a game series that is 3+ games long. I understand other people though when it comes to games like this though and liking a good ending. I'm just throwing an idea out into the wild to make that ending a little bit better. To the developer of this game. I love what you did here. If you're not already working on a DLC or anything related to benny. Then I ask that you consider it. Thank you
just unremarkable and frustrating
