Beyond the Bridge is a tribute to one of the earliest roguelikes, Moria. Your journey begins with creating your character by choosing a class. From there, you'll explore six procedurally generated levels before reaching the goal of your quest and making your escape!

If you have any nostalgia for simpler times, back when finding any magical weapon with a +5 damage bonus was awesome, then go for it! Beyond the Bridge is a back-to-basics dungeon crawler with a simple game loop and little handholding, but it's also packed with little details and mechanics that offer interesting situations and give it a unique charm. On your first couple runs you may find the game brutally difficult, and most game systems are left to be discovered as you play (eg. spells), but trust the process... and fun will be had :) (the game is not that hard if you make good use of the vault)7 found this helpful
I think this is very well done ... Interestingly, "Beyond the Bridge" feels like a prelude to "Diablo 1" to me, capturing the raw and experimental spirit and masterfully combines the timeless procedural exploration of "Rogue" with the haunting, atmospheric depth of Diablo 1. From the moment I've descended into its dungeons I got transported to a world where every step is new, and every corner hides potential death or treasure. To me it captures the spirit of discovery and danger that made "Rogue" revolutionary in it's own way, while embracing the darker allure of "Diablo". For anyone seeking a challenging, atmospheric rogue-like adventure with a nostalgic yet fresh feel, this game delivers ...1 found this helpful
