Battle System
Originally from Japanese game centres/arcades, Blade Arcus from Shining features unique battle and game balance systems. Play online, defeat your rivals, and become the very best!
You’ll utilize tag-based mechanics by selecting a primary character and a secondary character. You can switch characters between rounds as well as call on your partner for help using “Link Attacks”.

Blade Arcus From Shining: Battle Arena is a crossover fighting game that brings characters from Shining Tears, Shining Wind, Shining Hearts and Shining Blade together for friday night fisticuffs. But in a twist, the development duties were put in the hands of Studio Saizensen, mostly known for their Umihara Kawase series and Code of Princess. Therefore, some might get very suspicious and think they are looking at nothing short of a disaster. Well, the game is not a disaster and is actually fun to play. Game can be fun at times, but you're better off buying a game with better presentation and more content over this. Characters are very simple, story mode is repetitive. Not much here. Goofy game that can provide a few laughs with friends, but I can't justify $30 no matter how I spin it. Might be worth 5, 10 if you're wealthy
Playing in late 2025 for the first time... Great game, good fighting, sweet combo system.... graphics still have appeal.
Not super familiar with Sega's Shining series but this game is alright. You should know before getting it that its not the latest version, but even then if you're a casual fighting game fan and are looking for something easy to pick up and play for a few hours, this could be a fun pick up.
This game is fun but it always makes my screen way to bright after I close the game and a little while I'm playing it. I quickly lost interest in playing this game because of it.
