About BattleBlade
BattleBlade is a 2D Fighter game with a heavy focus on narrative as well as fast, difficult gameplay and light Bullet Hell elements. BattleBlade features an hour long Campaign with 5 battles along with visual novel style dialogue detailing Kaiku's valiant attempt at defending Earth from Vanto and his horde of Demons. As well as the campaign, the game features a PVP Versus mode allowing for you to battle your friends and live out your dream battles. But that's not all, BattleBlade also features a PVE Versus mode allowing for you to fight an AI Opponent of whomever you choose and train yourself!
Moraliyen is the commander of the Gods, and he has commanded Kaiku, the Goddess of Earth to protect Earth from a recent attack by the Demons. Kaiku accepts this task, after all, this is not the first time she has been given this objective, in fact, she's getting a bit bored of having to do it. What Kaiku does not realize is that this task may not be as familiar as it first seems.
I created this game as a solo developer over the course of one year, and I really hope you enjoy playing it.

BattleBlade is, well, certainly not any kind of asset flip. I can say that because no self respecting asset creator would have anything to do with the visual or gameplay assets in this game, it's that completely awful. Which just goes to show genuine intentions and ambition alone are not enough to turn someone into a capable game developer. This is a kind of arcadey hack and slash/versus fighting game with some kind of medieval theme (I guess, like, the graphics are so bad it's really hard to tell). The gameplay is, believe it or not, even worse than the visual quality of the game assets. This truly is a fine demonstration for why sites like Itch and Kongregate are failing their mission to contain this kind of garbage and stop it from getting out where gamers might see it. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The artwork here is terrible, it's a blend of old retro pixel "art" used as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, and some of the most amateurish MS-Paint style drawings I've ever hurt my eyes on. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget to arrange someone who can do graphics p…3 found this helpful

It's a fun little game. Getting a win feels satifsying, fights can get intense, has an interesting story and kick-ass music. It's a bit clunky sometimes but all-in-all, it's enjoyable and I recommend.2 found this helpful
Though simple is presentation and gameplay, it has a charming edge that the developer really brought through. Its something thats fun and enjoyable to play, whether its to pass time or serious delve deep into the game and aim for the tough achievements and scores. I am excited to see what the developer brings out next, and how (if he makes a sequel) he expands the mythos and universe that this game starts.1 found this helpful
Give Rabga Missile Launcher! -BETA REVIEW- Fun game, really like the story and i was really determined to get good scores THANKS FORXA BTW for making it super hard to get 1K points lmao Its definitely one of those games that are quick to learn but difficult to master, despite its rng but its the rng makes it fun to fight again and again until you got nice scores For a game made by one person, I can see potential in this and hope to see it updating and bring out more fights in the future1 found this helpful
