About BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
BlazBlue is a stunning high-resolution 2D fighting game from the creators of Guilty Gear, featuring 12 unique characters with signature Drive attacks that let you control elements and exploit opponent weaknesses. Fight through a deep story mode across arcade, versus, and score attack modes while experiencing gorgeous hand-drawn sprites against 3D backgrounds.
A round is called a "rebel" and one match can consist of one to five "rebels". To win a round, one player must either incapacitate the other by inflicting damage through various attacks to reduce their opponent's health to zero or by having more remaining health than their opponent after the clock runs out. Every character has a weak, medium and strong attack. Also every ones has a "unique" technique, called a Drive attack, which is different for each character.

Weird port, Great Game There is no Online, The Character portraits are very glitchy during cutscenes, and the game keeps locking itself to 30FPS Those issues aside, I've had a lot of fun playing this game! I just think the gameplay is a bit stiff, but that's probably just me (I got used to Cross Tag Battle Lol) Soundtrack is great! The menus are a bit confusing when playing with a controller The Wheel of Fate is Turning!2 found this helpful
It’s good but buy the other one
The game that started it all, Calamity Trigger. It is confusing to get 100% on all characters so make sure to use a guide for how to do that. It took me about 21 hours (a few hours are me idling the game so probably around 15 hours is more accurate) to 100% the whole story (Arcade + Story + Miss Litchi Episodes). Just make sure to play a characters Arcade Mode before their Story Mode to fully appreciate the story! I do love this game and think it's worth playing even with the issues I mention below as I didn't find them too troublesome for the purpose of playing through the story. Various issues with the PC port: - No Music in Story Mode Bug: It can be fixed though, check the guide here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/263300/discussions/0/3725071443029929478/ - FPS Issues: You most likely won't get 60FPS to work (there are some workarounds - but nothing that worked for me though): https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/BlazBlue:_Calamity_Trigger#Issues_fixed - Online Play doesn't work: You can patch the game to fix this: https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/3742-blazblue-calamity-trigger-online-restoration
Never got to play a lot when it came out. Was worried about having problems but so for its all good. The game is missing achievement support but i don't care that much. Story mode tracks % complete and that's enough for me. Taokaka story was very enjoyable!
I really like the story mode!
