Its alright but gets pretty repetitive after a while, lacks gun, relic and environment variety, would love to see an actual "campaign" set in this game/universe though with actual levels and maybe a short story, has cool visual style though.
couldnt play game tried redownloading, checking game files, when i start it it gives a black screen then crashes

Blightspire is a pixelated retro FPS that throws the player into an arena with waves of set unique monster compositions. Story: A dude designed a game that plays and functions well. Not much else to say. Length: Infinite, but becomes quite dull rather quick. One arena that can be fully explored in a few minutes. Sound: There is a few songs and I think they are fine, but nothing special to me. The weapons and enemies sound consistent and give good feedback. UI/Bugs: I encountered no bugs during my play time. The UI functions and is intuitive. Not much else to say. Game Play: You are given a 6 action revolver with infinite ammo that needs to be reloaded. You can buy a few temporary power-ups (dual wielding, damage bonus, and faster fire rate) that will boost killing power. The movement feels akin to Quake with a focus on fast movement and can bunny hop about the arena. This movement isn't really necessary until later rounds (near the twenties and beyond). The enemies are quite simple in design and have highly telegraphed attacks and follow the chase-and-attack scheme besides the flying eye balls. Like I said above, it gets old fast as there are only about 4 enemy typ…
It's a neat little endless survival game. I enjoy the aesthetic a lot, I just wish it had more meat on the bone. It's very simplistic as is. The movement is floaty and I don't like that at all. You can get stuck on certain geometry, the biggest culprit here being the big stairs. But considering the price of...free, it's very much worth your time, it's quite fun!
