Ever since I tried this game earlier this year at the Holland Comics and Toy Fare, it was something I was extremely excited to see, and I had begun following Big Mitten Games somewhat closely. Seeing their posts made me really excited. This game is everything I experienced before, and more. I love it, and I love how it's changed since I first got to try it. This game fills that bored of games void because it offers something new to this time of game making. The aspect of a tower defense that allows you to interact more with your own character and the towers is phenomenal, I find it a concept not used often in tower defense, at least not ones built like this. Even with that, learning more of the story and understanding how it works is even better, and it's really cool how they incorporate many memes into their game. Yea, I noticed that. Frankly, I am very happy with the game, and I couldn't recommend this as a party-esc/couch game any more, and I'm extremely excited to see how it will grow as time goes on.6 found this helpful
Blitz in the Paper Kingdom is an interesting, fun and vibrant Tower Defense with a campaign, arcade mode, unlockables and a dev team that is highly responsive and just a blast to be around. I've got little time logged here, but spent quite a few hours this last weekend at their setup in the gaming lobby of JAFAX 2022. These guys are a joy and have some fantastic plans lined up for this game as well as being open to discussion on improvements and changes that can be currently made to what we already have. What we do have now is great fun, with classic couch co-op available you can get a team of 4 and take on the game together, increasing speed or enemy count or both to give you all the challenge you're looking for. My brother and I play arcade mode multiple times together at the convention and enjoyed every second. We received this copy for winning their high score contest, and they are potentially having more contests at upcoming conventions around the Michigan area. If you are able to get to one of their booths and meet these guys, please do so. Overall, it's solid with relatively few bugs at this very moment with many improvements, additions and more on the way. I highly recomm…3 found this helpful
I first tried this game out at JAFAX with my son. It's a very addicting tower defense game. Totally recommend, and can't wait to see what all the devs do with this and future games. The only real feedback fro devs would be maybe adding controls to settings menu as they are a bit odd to figure out on KB at least. Overall tho, great game, I just spent a bit over 6 hours on it tonight.2 found this helpful
the game is very well made and i love the art style dont change a thing and the animations are so nice they are very simple walking and running animations but i think the fit the game very well. some things i did run into on my time playing is that i dont quite think all the levels and maps were loading in for me and the achievements were unlocking on steam but i got the pop up in game for them. so far this is a game i will gladly continue to play happily and i think the man who made it put a lot of hard work into it and it shows. also the settings menu is bugged to where it put a thick dark fog over my game after i clicked off of the menu and i couldent see my screen1 found this helpful
Charming game! Mechanics are fairly simple. You build towers, press space to kill stuff and profit. It's not too overly tedious and there's just enough to do in the game to have a good ole fun casual time. Support local devs! I'm a Michigan resident myself, hope to have yall continue developing games!
met the developers at toy haven 2022. seemed like great bunch of people bought the game as well as some posters and box art of the game. the game itself is a nice change of pace, needs a little polish but very playable. i played for a little over an hour and it was fun. i'll most likely play with each character before i move on to another game.
