The official goal of each puzzle is to get the key and reach the exit... but it turns out that the key is given right at the beginning and the exit is near it everytime. I guess it's a way to skip any level if you want to, but you can already choose which level you want to play in the menu so that's a bit weird. Anyway, the key is obviously not the true puzzle : each level has 3 diamonds you have to grab before going to the exit. These diamonds often form a unique path you have to find. To do so, you essentially push blocks and dodge/manipulate traps and enemies. There are also three kinds of spells you can collect that help you deal with those enemies, and one spell that you can use to destroy any block in front of you. The management of your spells is important as they are not bonuses but parts of the puzzle. Blooby block is full of good intentions, the level design overall is quite good and rarely unfair. Simple block-pushing puzzle with lots of stages but no undo button. The difficulty level you choose at the start tells how stages are available. While easy mode follows a story and contains levels one after the other, free roam unlocks everything and allows you to choose between the easiest and most difficult stages. If you wish to go through somewhere in the middle, you can choose normal, which only opens the first forty stages and unlocks the rest as you beat them. Gameplay is standard. You move your blob across the stage, towards the key that unlocks the exit. Along the way, you push blocks to open or close passageways and grab three gems, which serve as both collectibles and proof that you have truly mastered the stage. If you simply want to complete a stage, gems can be ignored because they complicate the solution. In fact, the key is often found right in front of you. The game is divided into five chapters, each containing 20 stages. The environment is pretty boring and rarely changes, but the addition of mechanics such as enemies, traps, and other surprises keep things interesting. Enemies show different behavior. This game has a nice story and a tutorial that guides you through the game. You play as this cool red blob on an epic adventure. And the best part? It's got different difficulty modes, so you can play it your way. I gotta say, playing this game with a gamepad on my deck was lit. The movement speed is adjustable, so you can go at your own pace. And the story elements and puzzle map combo is sick. As you progress, they throw in new mechanics, so you never get bored. You can be a straight-up boss and go straight for the key and the door. But if you're feeling like a completionist, you can collect all the gems for that extra satisfaction. Oh, and watch out for the traps and enemies, man. You gotta disable those traps and either avoid or freeze enemies with a spell. It keeps you on your toes. Oh, and the later levels? They switch it up with different floors. You drop down and then use a lift to get back up. It's a game-changer, I'm telling ya. Overall, this game is a wicked puzzler with a ton of levels to conquer. The story's dope, the gameplay's tight, and it's got options for all types of players. Get ready to get hooked on this epic adventure with the red blob.

5/10 A Sokoban remake with 3D gfx. Good: - lots of varied levels - if you like Sokoban, it's a puzzle of the same type, with some humor in the dialogs that appear across levels So-so: - the music is nice but there aren't that many tracks - sfx are pretty basic which is probably okay for a remake of a retro game (it actually depends on the gfx style; these simple casual sounds would probably fit a 2D pixelated style more) Bad: - graphics are pretty bland, making the game look like a student/school project. The main reason being that it's 3D. With 3D, it's hard to get a nice looking game because you need detailed 3D models, textures, particles and whatnot - something a single guy just can't do. It should have been 2D instead, since Sokoban plays on a 2D board and there is no gameplay reason for it to be in 3D anyway (okay there are levels that involve the tile's elevation but these still could be shown with slightly isometric 2D tiles that overlap a bit). Also, certain things add to the "shabby" impression: the plain gray background, the huge blurry buttons in the UI, the simplistic diamonds that don't glow.
