Boardcraft: Crokinole

Worthy adaptation of a modern classic. Beautiful graphics, nice physics, chill bgm. Maybe add AI difficulties to let us decide which level of cozy/challenge we need today. Recommended.

Finally, the best board game, best finger flicking, dexterity game, comes to Steam. Great physics, pieces move and slide as expected to on a high quality board, and the opponent plays intelligently and with good aim. I see myself dumping a LOT of hours into this, regardless of if multiplayer takes off!

The developer quickly fixed a bug I reported so this wonderful game now deserves a high rating.

Please ignore the following paragraph: I am a good Crokinole player. The randomness of the open 20 shots is ridiculous. There is no apparent skill at them. I can get into the 15 circle less than 1/10th of the time. This is extremely frustrating. Some randomness, yes. A bit short or a bit long, or bouncing out of the hole, a few degrees left or right, or something resembling the experience of a good player at a real board would be good. But as it is, I can't even get inside the 15 ring more than 10% of the time while my opponent hits 20s 80% of the time. For me, this game is unplayable. After the developer's response below, I tried again. I couldn't believe I had made such a dumb mistake. But I had. After retrying and playing it the way I should have, I found it to be an excellent recreation of the game of Crokinole. Please see my response to the developer's comment below for details. My deepest apologies to the developer for my idiocy.
