✦ AI summary
Players praise this bookshop sim for its relaxing, cozy atmosphere and appeal to book lovers, with many finding it fun and engaging. However, some players find the core mechanic of identifying and restocking books tedious, as the small labels require significant squinting and effort to read, which can detract from the otherwise pleasant experience.
Love the game! There are two minor adjustments I'd love to see. First, make it possible to fit two full-size storage racks side by side in a single upgrade square. Second, code the cats to play with empty boxes that are left on the floor. They're cats! Seriously, I have played this for hours, and I really like the new updates.
Pretty good stuff
15/10 - Marvelous game :)
very calming and so much fun- I love the titles
This game scratches so many itches for my neurodivergent brain: it's a relaxing and low-stimulus/stress game that helps me unwind; it has a ton of collectibles with the ability to use community-created content to fill my stores with just the books/comics/games that I want (all with clever Trademark- and copyright-safe names that make me laugh); and it's all about books! Maybe my favorite shop simulator of all time.
As a lifelong book girly who completely lost her joy of reading during university — only to find it again in her 30s — this game hits me right in that tender, nostalgic place. It scratches the exact part of my brain where the dream of owning a cozy bookshop still lives. Having to fill the shelves yourself, juggling the checkout line, managing staff, and keeping a café running — all while figuring out pricing strategies and which licenses to unlock next — is genuinely delightful. It captures the charm, chaos, and quiet satisfaction of running a space built around stories. It is an absolute joy to play.
