Bside: Desktop Mate is a really cute desktop companion game that I found more interesting than I expected. I create a little Biibit character and then let them live on my desktop, where they can develop their own personality, form friendships and build memories over time. I liked the idea because it feels less like controlling a traditional character and more like watching a tiny virtual life develop alongside me. The customization is one of the strongest parts for me. There are lots of options for changing how my Biibit looks and how their personality is shaped, which makes the character feel much more personal. I enjoyed being able to create something that actually feels like my own little desktop companion rather than simply choosing from a fixed collection of characters. The social side is also interesting. Biibits can talk to one another, form friendships and remember their experiences, while shared spaces allow different characters to interact.
