About BULLET HEAT

Combining fast paced action, realistic weapons and engaging arena environments, BULLET HEAT engineers a world of combat, experimental physics interaction and high replay value. Freely interact in a open shooting range, fight off waves of enemies using an array of weapons and experiment with a gravity gun to interact with physics objects, cover systems, and even build your own arena.

Weapons - Pistols, shotguns, sub machine guns, and rocket launchers are just the start. Effectively eliminate enemies with dual power swords or send enemies flying with grenades or explosive gas canisters. Guns don't run out of ammo, and there's a fully functional gravity gun which is easy to use. Includes body weapon rack functionality with ability to hold 2 guns and 3 grenades or rockets, along with the weapons in your hand.

Enemies - Different enemies engage the player differently. Pick off shooter enemies from a distance, knock out running sword enemies, and neutralize flying drones from the sky.

Arenas - Fight enemies in various arenas such as an eccentric temple, European town, forest, desert train station and sci-fi arena. Freely teleport or slide your way around the level while engaging your enemies. Different levels can easily be loaded from the main menu level at any time.

Physics - Shoot up endless breakable objects in the Shooting Range level, pick up deadly gas canisters with the gravity gun, and move and drop crates to create your own cover. Play with physics-based dummies with both guns and swords and throw merciless frag grenades for an explosives result.

Arena/Base Building - Build your own combat arenas in open space using the gravity gun, and spawn both buildings objects and enemies in realtime. The possibilities are endless.

'BULLET HEAT' would like you to think it was the new Boneworks style game, but trust me, it is nowhere near that level of creativity and polish. This is a very basic VR sandbox shooter with a small amount of wave-based enemies to kill as the "game" side of things. There are quite a few different guns and melee weapons to enjoy and there are 10+ environments to use them in. But you soon come to realise that it is all the same things, the same enemies, over and over. This "game" reeks of asset flip and I wouldn't be surprised if it was ALL just one giant asset flip. You can have a little bit of fun messing around in this game, but definitely nowhere near the current asking price as there is no scores, no challenge and no real fun other than the type you make up yourself because the game gets so boring! Maybe one day it will have more content and more...originality, but for now, I am giving it the thumbs down especially given that you can get a Boneworks steam key for the same price (if you shop around).
Played on the Meta Quest 3 using VD
I don't think it's fair to compare this game to Boneworks, they are not in the same price range. Is this a good game? Definitely not. Is it worth $14.99 USD? Nope. However, I bought this for $3.74 USD on sale and I do think it is worth that price. Sure it's probably got every asset from the asset store. Sure it's mostly just an arena wave shooter with dumb AI. However, the toys are fun to play with. The explosions are fantastic in this game. Grenades are brilliant! Explosive barrels are brilliant! The gravity gun is so much fun. I do wish it had smooth turning, but snap turning is okay I guess. Rate 5.5/10. Fun for a glorious 30 minutes or so. More fun than a lot of other games of this ilk.
