What an absolute POS game. I nearly made RR11 on DAOC on a Thane. I miss it so much. This game is no where close to being even an alpha version or Early Access of DAOC, which is crazy considering it has been in development for 13 years almost as much as my entire career. Jacobs is a worse scammer than the Indians calling about your extended warranty, The game is emptier than my love life. All in all this game will flop and it is sad, because it could have been so much more with a competent CEO10 found this helpful
The press is too negative. The game is great, there is no questing or bs, you just go out and gather, craft, and fight. Ashes of creation but more potential because every map point is claimable. Everything is pvp-able, and you can't gather unless you claim it. The pvp system is built for scale so as it grows it should get better. They need to polish it, but the bones are good, and I believe they are making progress weekly that you can feel. Highly recommend if you liked New World, ESO (Cyrodil), Ashes before it blew up, or enjoy realm v. realm mmos. Population is minimal right now, so you may want to wait if you don't like playing solo most of the time. When they launch that problem should go away quickly :).4 found this helpful
I had fun with it at the core on my first play through... I was able to group up with realm mates, take keeps, and partake in RvR PVP action that was fun. The game doesn't have much content outside crafting and pvp, and the game needs a lot of work on content, bugs, and graphics.3 found this helpful
Its been a rocky road but with the recent change in development and surge of new life the game seems like its in good hands finally. The gameplay is definitely early stages but i actually had fun running around with a big raid group assaulting the enemy castles. Needs work but its getting there!2 found this helpful
bought the game dispite the neg reviews and they were correct. The game just keeps saying unable to connect to server so i am unable to play refund requested.1 found this helpful
I don't understand all the negative reviews. For a early access game only 2 years into development its very nice and the overall concept is solid. Is it perfect ? no some graphics issues and a lot of tuning but the game is solid on a 10 year old PC, no crashes and only a few minor glitches req a relog in 58 hours of play so far. I think may of the negative reviews are from disgruntled backers who had some vision of a polished upgrade to DAOC. I like the game so far and think it has a lot of potential and is very definetly worth the 9 bucks to try it out
