"Capybara: The story of Sisyphus" is just a low key asset flip.. the quality of the sometimes mismatched looking assets is suspiciously much higher than the actual game is, and that's a glaring mismatch. Who's going to create a bunch of high quality assets and then phone in the actual game? It doesn't add up... unless you consider how easy it is for anyone, even people unqualified to make games, to get any and all the game assets they want. The game is essentially a kitbash of assets made by other people, poorly assembled by an amateur developer. These projects are usually rushed through Steam Direct as fast as possible, and the lack of professional standards means the end result is something no gamer should waste their time on. This is a laughably bad joke game, a janky 3D physics action game where you control a capybara asset chained to a barrel asset and roll through various asset flipped environments, for no appreciable reason. Capybara: The Story of Sisyphus turns an intentionally ridiculous premise into a surprisingly demanding physics-based climbing adventure. You control an exceptionally lazy capybara whose ultimate ambition is simply to reach the top of a mountain and enjoy a bath inside its barrel. What sounds like a peaceful journey quickly becomes an exercise in patience, momentum, balance, and persistence. Developed and published by Underdogs, the game embraces the frustration-climbing formula while giving it a humorous identity through its relaxed protagonist and deliberately troublesome barrel. The defining mechanic is the combination of the capybara, a rope, and the barrel used during the climb. Instead of relying on traditional platforming controls alone, progress depends heavily on understanding momentum and learning how to attach yourself to obstacles without losing control. Burger Kombat is a very simple free to play idle game built around making the most expensive burger I possibly can. The idea is pretty ridiculous, which is honestly part of the appeal. Ingredients randomly appear in my kitchen over time and I have to combine them to discover new burgers. I am not really trying to make something that tastes good either. The whole point is making burgers that are worth as much money as possible, so the game has a deliberately silly approach to cooking. The collecting side is probably what keeps me interested. I have to wait for new ingredients to appear, then work out what I can make from what I have available. Rarer ingredients are more valuable, so finding something unusual gives me a reason to check back and see what new combinations I can create. I like that the game keeps the basic idea very easy to understand. There is no complicated cooking system to learn and I am not worrying about realistic recipes. It is basically collecting, combining and trying to increase the value of my burgers. The biggest problem is also the biggest part of the design. There is not actually a huge amount for me to do.
