About Carpe Lucem - Seize The Light VR
Solve tricky puzzles in a world full of mysterious secrets. Make steampunk styled flowers bloom using the power of light rays to unveil new worlds. In a relaxed, no pressure environment players immerse themselves into this beautifully designed virtual reality.
Guide and adjust the light rays, change their colors to match the flowers, use mirrors, prisms, magnets, teleporters and more to direct them to where they need to be.
Carpe Lucem challenges and entertains players by transferring classical 2D puzzles into the virtual space. They learn new fascinating aspects quickly. Now puzzle elements can be moved literally in the third dimension. But not only that: They can also be arranged 360 degrees all around the player. Sounds simple but it creates a whole new way of interacting and playing mind teasing puzzle games and it is indeed a perfect introduction to Virtual Reality.

Echoing what others have said about Oculus. Touch controllers don't work and it doesn't appear that the developers are working on it. I don't recommend this for OCULUS ONLY. Having played on the Vive, I found it to be enjoyable.5 found this helpful
Carpe Lucem – Seize The Light VR, developed by Hammer Labs and published by Application Systems Heidelberg, is a thoughtfully designed virtual reality puzzle experience that transforms the simple concept of manipulating light into a fully immersive, spatially driven challenge. Built specifically for VR platforms, the game embraces room-scale interaction and 360-degree environments to create a meditative yet intellectually engaging adventure. Rather than relying on action-heavy gameplay or cinematic spectacle, it focuses on calm exploration, hands-on experimentation, and the quiet satisfaction of solving optical puzzles in three-dimensional space. At its core, Carpe Lucem revolves around guiding beams of colored light through intricate mechanical environments in order to activate and bloom stylized flowers. The player interacts with a variety of optical tools—mirrors, prisms, filters, teleporters, and magnets—each of which alters the path, color, or direction of light. Unlike traditional puzzle games confined to flat screens, every object exists physically within the player’s immediate VR surroundings. You reach out with motion controllers to rotate mirrors, reposition prisms, and …
Beware no Oculus support but otherwise this game is amazing. It is basic but very calming and enjoyable, with later puzzles being fairly challenging. User created puzzles are also support.
Played on original Vive This game is a wonderful meditative puzzle game that really takes advantage of full dimensionality without stressing you out. It's not terribly long or difficult but it's also not upsettingly short or easy. If you want some nice puzzles in a beautiful environment, then this game is well worth picking up.
Lovely product; really enjoyed playing, just wish it was longer!
This is a wonderful relaxed puzzle game, The addition of a third dimension adds a great deal to this type of game and being able to pick up, retate and place elements just makes it a really compelling and tactile experience. Try the demo. The addition of workshop support is a great bonus too! The backgrounds are also really pretty and performance is solid. One of my favourites.
