About Castle Commander

A homage to the decade year old flash game 'Defend your castle'.
This game has no save feature, with bugs. There is no plan to 'fix' this.

Gameplay
Pick attackers up and toss them into the air, moments later a satisfying squish as they hit the ground.

Defend your castle from hoards of attacks. Upgrade your castle, land, and research with new defences & technology.

Defences
Upgrade your castle with archers, ballista, oil cauldrons, and cannon, or research alchemy to discover new metals, and even powerful magic.

Attackers
As well as increase in numbers, more dangerous units will appear the longer you hold out, archers, giants, and mounted knights, to wizards with force-fields and lightening.

Day / Night / Weather
Dark nights when the moon does not appear in the sky will make it difficult to see, weather may prove even more difficult, fog, thunder storms, and even snow blizzards can affect visibility. Researching new lighting and building lamp posts can help to penetrate the darkness of night.

Castle Commander is an abandoned Early Access attempt at making a Unreal based mobile app-like tower/castle defense game. You have a castle and a nice tech tree and you can build archers and other upgrades to defend and strengthen your castle. Of course, you start with very little so you need to fall back on your ability to put your finger on your iPhone screen and fling the attackers around. Not gonna lie, this might work properly as a concept if it was implemented properly, and completed. Castle Commander was not implemented properly, and it was not completed. In fact this just exists on Steam as a scam, now. Let's go into why. The game was abandoned immediately at launch, it never recieved an update after launch day, so it hasn't been updated in about 4 years. It blew past the developers commitment to complete the game without any notification or admission of failure from the developer. The game will never be completed. However, because the developer is full of ethics and doing the right thing, they continue to try scam gamers into buying it... routinely discounting the game, and putting the game into game bundles, even though they have no intention of actually finish…

the collision hit box to grab is way too small. it takes way to long to build anything up. needs a lot of tweaks until i can call it entertaining rather that frustrating

Pretty good start. Would be cool if there was an upgrade to get more money per kill. Also, the only bug is that your upgrades reset when you quit the game and continue later. I really love the idea of bringing a classic game like Defend Your Castle back and upgrading it.
