Cat Dungeon is a fairly simple looking, Sokoban styled puzzle game that has you playing as a cute little orange cat, trying to get through the stages to escape the dungeon. To manage escaping this dungeon, variety of objects must be moved, levers pulled, teleporters used and keys collected in the 30 different stages this game offers. The difficulty increases as you go forward, where the beginning levels can be quite easy, and the end levels more difficult. There are some stages in-between that are either easier or harder, but otherwise it's pretty straight forward difficulty increase. The style of the menu and the stages is fairly simple pixel style with clear ways to find where to go and what to do. There is no way to change the controls, but I don't think that is needed, since the gameplay only requires the arrow keys to be used. The steam page also shows that this game has "full controller support" but sadly that did not work for me and my xbox one controller. Despite that little hurdle with the controller and the fact that I had to wait for a…9 found this helpful
Not too difficult for anyone well versed in Sokoban games, but definitely worth a play through. The retro kitty aesthetic is adorable and very relaxing. More items are gradually introduced that generally increase the difficulty, but in the last five or so stages
a cup object
is introduced that actually overly simplifies solutions by giving the player too many options. Please make sequels, I will buy them!3 found this helpful
Cute, happy little game good way to have a nice relaxing night or day. It's nothing amazing graphic wise of course, but it's well worth the price if you love kitties2 found this helpful
A fun little game with a cute gatito trying to find its place in this cold dungeon world littered with stuff. While I've encountered push-the-box puzzles in other games, this is the first 'true' sokoban game I've ever played. Some levels were quite challenging, but none proved to be an unfair and unfun obstacle. It helps that the progression curve is really adequate, with just a couple of objects to deal with, more types added gradually at the later stages. Some objects are pretty straightforward, others might be a bit OP, but seem to allow for various potential solutons, so no complaints here. The 8 bit chiptune aesthetics also hit the spot. The only minor gripe is that sometimes you can accidentally push the things you didn't seem to be touching when trying to be a bit quicker than you're supposed to be, but it's not a big deal. Overall, totally worth the price. Meow.
A charming puzzle game that challenges players to guide a cat through intricate dungeons. The gameplay focuses on pushing objects, using levers, collecting keys, and teleporting to create pathways to the exit. I love the engaging mechanics and cute, minimalist aesthetic.
Priced right. Interesting enough puzzles.
