Chamber 19

It's a crappier, less fun version of Xortex (which is free as part of "The Lab" if you didn't know), so skip this and go play that instead. Chamber 19 isn't HORRIBLE, but it is below average. At $15 USD it's a joke. At $2, I'd still say go play Xortex instead. 2,000+ games on my account and I think this is the maybe the 2nd time I've removed a game from my account.

Whenever you die it restarts, which wouldn't be a problem if it didn't plaster a big yellow headache-inducing banner for "OSVR" locked right in your face for 7 seconds. If this were the only problem I could just remember to close my eyes every time I die (ugh) but the game itself is horrible, mainly there are no explanations for a lot of the things in game. When upgrades come on the screen they are instantly collected so I don't know what they have done for me, and there is a sphere in the center that does something? Not worth even the sale price.

An update for oculus ?

I do not recommend this game. I won a key code for this game and i can't even select anything in the main menu. Came to the page and there are posts stating that VR is not needed to play yet the developer notice says there is. If you can get it to work for you with or without VR then my hats off to you. I do not have VR so maybe that is the reason i have no controls. Be weary if buying this game without VR and maybe even with it.

This is one of countless VR titles I got as part of super cheap bundles. You grab and pilot a ship with your hand, dodging attacking ships and their projectiles. It’s a bullet hell game, there are so many projectiles that it gets really tough to find routes to move your hand without getting hit. Graphics are nice, maybe a tad dark for me. Environments are pretty neat. Plenty of variety in the enemies, bosses, and unlockables to keep things interesting. All that being said, combat seems to lack that certain oomph to make it feel heavy and significant; it’s more like you’re just pointing at the enemy until they go away – not firing high powered lasers at them. That makes it play worse and less satisfying than some other similar games. This is a fine game, but not worth the $15 in my eyes. It's a decent game for the tiny price I paid though, so... Thumbs: UP!
