This is one that offers a lot of old school rpg entertainment. There is a good story, the action moves along swiftly, the characters are interesting, and the battles are well done. There is no wondering what to do next as the story moves you along in a straightforward manner that makes it hard to break away from because you want to see what's coming next. An area where the game really shines is the art work of the main characters and the monsters encountered ---- especially the boss monsters which are huge screen filling enemies. Music is very good and does not become overbearing. There are tons of treasures to discover throughout the land, as well as in the optional dungeons. Overall, I'm having a lot of fun with this one, and believe it would be an excellent addition to your library. Very much recommended, and it's on sale!

I was enjoying this game at first and like the characters, but all the mazes that look the same are more than annoying. I don't mind the "secret" ones that are full of goodies and are optional anyway, but when I got into the seemingly endless prison I got lost, forgot what the task was in there, couldn't find an end or my way out and frankly got BORED with the constant repetitious battles. I quit out of frustration and boredom.
