About Chapatriste

Chapatriste is an intense FPS that immerses you in an infernal world based on the Spanish Tercios of Flandes. Face hordes of skeleton soldiers in a dark and terrifying environment where survival depends as much on your aim as on your melee combat skills.

Key Features:
  • Unique Setting: Explore a world inspired by the Spanish Tercios of Flandes, where history and hell intertwine to create an oppressive and danger-filled atmosphere.
  • Parry Mechanic: Master the parry mechanic to deflect enemy attacks and gain precious ammunition for your arsenal of weapons. Without parry, there are no bullets, and without bullets, there is no hope.
  • Varied Arsenal: Use a variety of weapons typical of the era, such as the flintlock pistol, blunderbuss, and musket, each with its own gameplay style and strategic needs.
  • Creepy Enemies: Battle relentless skeleton soldiers, each with their own abilities and attack patterns, that will test your skill and reflexes.
  • Dark and Detailed Environment: Level design that immerses the player in a medieval and gloomy setting.

Target Audience:
Aimed at players who enjoy challenging FPS games with a strong dose of melee combat and a unique historical setting, especially those looking for a dark and atmospheric experience.

This game has been developed by Timber Films thanks to the collaboration of the students from the 3D Animation, Games, and Interactive Environments program at the Higher Education Center of the Camara de Comercio de Sevilla Center.

This year the students made an FPS shooter game which (I hope) is trying to be some kind of boomer shooter, and unfortunately falls very short of that humble goal. What do you do in the game? It's a simple FPS... run around poorly rendered, low poly, badly textured environments and shoot historical Spanish figures. Who thought that was a good idea for a game? Oh yeah, Campus Cámara de Sevilla did. There's no English translation for the game, but that's okay. The language of bad games is universal. The graphics aren't great... that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really d…
