✦ AI summary

Crisol: Theater of Idols impresses players primarily with its stunning visuals, detailed character models, atmospheric locations, and excellent art direction, alongside a unique weapon system that uses health as ammunition for engaging resource management. However, the game is hampered by poorly designed puzzles and some occasional minor gameplay issues like unresponsive ledge-climbing mechanics, though the overall experience is considered solid and enjoyable by most who appreciate its survival-focused gameplay and creative presentation.

If this game wasn't so genuinely awful to play it might be worth playing for the art and atmosphere, which are top tier. But unfortunately the gameplay is genuinely terrible. The gunplay is genuinely some of the worst I have ever experienced. Wether youre using aim assist on a controller, or a mouse and keyboard, nothing can prepare you for the genuine horror of trying to shoot an enemy in this game. The crosshair is wider than the pacific ocean and enemies lurch and jerk around so fast, and aiming movement is so slow, that putting a bullet where you want is like some arcane ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sorcery. I dont know if thats on purpose to try and get you to play this like a survival horror game, but if that was the intent it failed miserably, because even in a Resi game they know to make the guns feel powerful and enjoyable to use, even if you only get a handful of ammo. Love the look of this game, hate pretty much everything else about it.

Fantastic atmosphere in this game, from the very beginning. i like the way you have to balance health with ammo regen, beats having ammo everywhere or characters dropping ammo for no reason. Good story and plenty to explore and do, solid game.

I tried liking it. I love the concept so much but some gameplay design and decisions are confusing. Enemies are cool design wise but are such a chore to kill. FOV restrictions of up to 90 degress is dumb, and you should think about your players well being. When playing on mouse a keyboard you'll easily get motion sickness at lower FOVs. Control feels unresponsive, one thing is to have a heavy or grounded feeling game, another thing is to have unresponsive controls which adds to the frustration of fighting enemies that feel like a chore. Perfomance is a nightmare. I don't know what it is but frame gen is unusuable there is too much ghosting. Delay also sucks. But even when frame gen is off the cross hair has ghosting and glitches the way that frame generation does, I thought it might be the setting turining on agan, but no, the game is just like that. There's this weird mouse smoothing in the game that when I checked to disable it wasn't on either, the game is just like that. Puzzles are decent challange I guess? I'm not too good at puzzles but I felt they were to complicated or they lacked information for the players to go about solving it in an intuitive way. That aside the p…
