Chromatrix is a continuously evolving, retro-style Tower Defense game where you protect your tiles from relentless enemy waves. Study a variety of enemy types, both flying and ground-based, and master the unique interactions between shapes and colors to perfectly match your defenses to each increasingly challenging wave. Prepare for intense battles with powerful bosses at the end of every wave!
Manage your turrets and strategically counter enemies by leveraging their color-coded strengths and weaknesses. Each turret has two branching upgrade paths, allowing for unique strategies to emerge and evolve as you play.
Every turret not only has its own elemental color and traits – red turrets are most effective against red targets, blue turrets excel against blue, and so on – but also features two branching upgrade paths, allowing for diverse playstyles and strategies. A unique TD with retro graphics that remind me of some flash TD games I've played in the past. It feels like a combination of those and retro games even including RPG games, with the way dialogue and menus work. Very interesting! Chromatrix is a blast for tower defense lovers The color matching strategy and upgrade paths kept me experimenting for hours. Boss fights are epic, and the retro visuals/music hit all the right notes. Gets tough fast, but that’s part of the fun. This game has a unique gameplay with some nice retro Matrix/hacker vibe, the game is easy to pick up (If you know how to read and not skip over everything) the last boss has some good difficulty to it, which makes the game even better imo!
