City Escaper is a bare-bones endless runner with minimalist pixel-art graphics and no audio, criticized for its lack of polish and content, though some players appreciate its simple mechanics like the ability to move backward and control speed rather than just forward momentum. The game is frequently noted as feeling unfinished and not worth its price, though a small subset of players genuinely enjoy the basic platforming and high-score chasing despite or because of its simplicity.
City Escaper is such hard game to review and also there's not much I can say about it.. Since there's no story whatsoever, I will start with the graphics. Graphics: Honestly City Escaper looks like it was made with microsoft paint and it looks pretty bad. There's nothing really impressive about the art style, it's very simplistic. Each building you jump across looks like a huge square , but different colors. Audio: There's literally no audio in this game, no music no sound effects, there's nothing, it's just you sitting in silence, so if you end up playing this game, put on some of your own music so it's not completely silent. Gameplay: As said before, this game is an endless runner, all you do is run jump across gaps and avoid obstacles and you try to beat your high score each attempt. The game itself is really mediocre considering there's so many better endless runner games you can get on your phone for free. It's also way too easy and racking up a ton of points is easy, so it gets boring way too fast. Verdict: City Escaper is an absolutely terrible game and there's literally no point in buying it. The only good thing about this game is the dev, who from what I saw is a …9 found this helpful

The most basic "endless runner" game ever with Paint.exe graphics. 30519 - high score.
Endless runner that ended up in the key store, probably because of the developer's generosity. If that's the case, neither he nor I made money off of this activated copy, today, merely the key seller engaged in a fair game of arbitrage. I don't hate the concept of City Escaper, just the idea the developer did nothing more than the bare minimum. There's no sound, no special effects. He accurately described the game in the description in its entirety. He missed no details and made no additional promises. Some concepts are nice, and unconventional for the runner genre. You can't increase your speed while running, but you can leap forward or back, and you can also reduce your speed. That's probably all I can think of. It's not worth the dollar, and neither is the hate. Instead, consider just a proportional amount of ambivalence that the developer has given toward this project.
this is probably my favorite game you can play on steam personally. it has immaculate platforming tactics. extremely fun to jump through the sky like a superhero! (one that doesnt bully me) 10/10 tbh !
