Condors Vs Ocelots

Condors Vs Ocelots has nothing to do with condors or ocelots. It's an early access "freemium" isometric retro pixel turn based tactical strategy game. Gameplay consists of building your army, choosing your fight on the world map, then going down into the turn based tactical combat interface, commanding each unit to move/attack/defend/use abilities, etc. It's been done a million times. This is currently free but the developers have indicated they want to have an in game store when the game is finished. With some relief, it's worth noting the vast majority of Steam Early Access games never reach completion. The technical implementation here is frankly a nightmare that makes Russian asset flips look accessible and enjoyable. Retro pixel "art" was used as a substitute for professional, contemporary graphics. While this is usually enough reason to throw any game onto the burning pile of retro pixel garbage infesting Steam, special mention should be made of just how bad the pixel "art" here is. It's mismatched, some things have pixels a mile high, other stuff is more into the 16 bit era of pixel art. We all know how bad it looks when the pixels in a game are different sizes…

I tried to play it, but was unable to do anything really just yet. The character customization doesn't work/is disabled for now it looks like. You do not get to choose a side (probably because it's a demo). But I can forgive all that. The main issue I was having was an inability to complete a single turn. After I have a character move, I am unable to end the turn. Since it is very heavily advertised that this is an "in progress" game, and there is no cost associated with it for now at least, I am going to recommend it. But honestly it's not really playable from what I saw, so this really should be a neutral recommendation if anything. Good luck dev team! I'll check in on it again later and hopefully be able to actually play it.

Геймплей простой, акцент на тактике. Минусы: однообразные миссии, отсутствие сюжета. Подойдёт любителям тихих стратегий и природы. Оценка: 6/10.
