About Conquest: Medieval Kingdoms
Conquest: Medieval Kingdoms is a turn-based 4X grand strategy game, played on a procedurally generated world.
You may start as the ruler of a vast empire, or perhaps a tiny fledgling kingdom.
Raise armies, conquer territory and forge an empire that stretches across the entire globe to claim victory!
Battles are real-time and tactical. Run straight at the enemy if you want, but don't be surprised if they've laid a trap.
Cavalry, swordsmen, spearmen and archers need to be placed strategically on the field or they will be wiped out before you know it.
Running wildly at the enemy is a recipe for destruction.
And don't think you can just steamroll the map. Religious and ethnic differences mean rebellions are always in the air.
Spend your time to convert assimilate your subjects or expect a dagger in your back.
Every world-map and battlefield is entirely procedurally generated, so this game will always have something to throw at you.

The UI is absolutely unreadable and there's no options to tweak it at all. There's no options for anything other than unit scale and music volume, and the lag in larger battles basically makes the battle unplayable. Building anything also takes an unholy amount of turns, to the point where you're basically ending turn six or nine times in a minute just to be able to recruit units. Other than that it's pretty a'ight tho. It's a poor man's total war for sure, but it's a 'promising' one. Everything it needs to be amazing is right there. It just needs to be better.8 found this helpful
somehow you get 6-10 fps when you play a battle and the campaign map gives a max of 50 fps needs more optimization hold your money until they fix it 2022 august 21: more than 1 year since the last update the game dev left the game avoid as it still has terrible fps issues PS:My spec are i7 10700k Rtx 2060 Super rog strix 32gb 3200mhz trident z Royal Platinum 850w psu HCG Antec 1tb nvme ssd 970 evo 8tb hardisk7 found this helpful
A very nice concept, wish there were more updates.1 found this helpful
Controls and unit commands are insufficient for the game. Lack of camera controls and forced flip to unit crap is awful. Rock paper scissors combat not medieval combat. I really just wanted a procgen Medieval Total War. I had no idea what that really meant for faction units etc but thats what i was hoping for. Screenshots made it look like either Shogun or Medieval 11 found this helpful
Revising my review. Still a thumbs up. BUT if the game starts you in a corner of the map and you are surrounded by kingdoms who have a few allies, you won't have much to do unless you're willing to declare war on a neighbor and risk a brutal ganking.
Better than total war!!!!!
