About Cor Draconis

A wandering team of adventurers stumble upon a powerful, magically-infused dragon heart. They decide to harness this power in order to create a settlement for themselves and other adventurers. As the town becomes larger, the settlers realize they are not alone, there are small encampments of many sorts of foes, from goblins, to giants, to the undead! After banding together and killing the dragon, the monsters have used its carcass as power for their settlements. However, they must have missed the most powerful remnant of them all, the heart! These fiends have guarded their most valuable treasure, the dragon’s fossils, with their lives. If one could combine the heart with all the fossils who knows what may happen?Features include:
  • City Building - Construct and upgrade buildings to increase your power and to grow your settlement into a bustling city!
  • Dungeon Crawler Mini-game - Explore your way through dungeons and defeat monsters though D&D-style combat.

This game is everything it says on the tin. It's a neat lil game, although it's rather short. Even for how short it is the charm is decent. The only thing i can say negative about this game is it never says anything about upgrading your buildings. Although you don't even need to till way late in the game (about the 4th dungeon). Even though I didn't notice that till way too late, it was a fun experience.

This game was offered to everyone for free on steam, this was not a promotional gift or anything. If it wasn't free, I don't know if I'd be able to say this, because even while distracted with other things, I beat the game in 90 minutes. But it WAS free, and it was an amusing little distraction with a fun art style, a bit of a story and basic, but playable mechanics. My hope is that this developer is merely testing out ideas and going to develop their skills into a 'real' game at some point, but even if they don't, there's nothing to be ashamed at by releasing this into the world as a passion project. Don't expect depth, but it's a bit more than an idle game. The real takeaway is the shockingly short playtime.
