"A Content-Rich Game That Sadly Feels Hollow." I really wanted to love this game. I’m a massive fan of auto-battlers, and the addition of roguelike elements is something I usually enjoy a lot. On paper, Legendary Creatures 2 has everything that should make it a hit for me. To the game’s credit, there is a ton of content. The sheer number of units you can unlock is genuinely impressive, and the variety of weapons, spells, and upgrades adds a sense of long-term progression. If you enjoy collecting and experimenting with different builds, the game definitely provides plenty of toys to play with. Unfortunately, the gameplay loop itself is where things fall apart. Despite all the content, the core experience feels extremely lackluster. Every run ends up following the same repetitive structure: move through a map, pick upgrades, try to scale your team, repeat the same battles, and hope your stats are high enough. The problem is that very little of it feels meaningful. The choices rarely feel impactful, the pacing gets monotonous, and after several runs everything starts to blur together. Despite looking simple it's really fun. Each run is fast, you can finish it in 15 minutes if you want or build up and try to max things out. After each run you get crystals to unlock features and characters and items in roquelike fashion. Personally i like the equipment tiers and synergies the most, when you combine it with each of the diifferent classes (like at least 9? maybe 12? don't remember cus there's so many to keep track of) you get a seriously cool experience, trying to counter the enemy that similarly can use the same skills and equipment.1 found this helpful

This is a roguelike autobattler with just enough crunch for me to want to keep playing it. It's moddable too, but all of the mods I've seen thus far are in Chinese. The synergies are cool, unlocking stuff is cool, the art is pretty cool, the difficulty curve's pretty good, and it's totally worth a buy. well dam the game lied. Not a 4x, not a dungeon crawler really, it's sortof a roguelike I guess but not really??? It IS an autobattler, but it used to show turn based which makes me more mad that now it's fixed, but not the other tags. If you want a brain turn off game here you go, it's not a creature collector either really if you were hoping for that.
Short, but satisfying game loop. Some of the translations are awkward, but understandable. Supports mods, but most mods are not available in english. Excellent buy for only $5 USD.
