About Corrupted: Dawn of Havoc
Corrupted is a real-time roguelike deckbuilding game that offers a unique fun of card play in real-time battles. In Corrupted, reclaim the research base from the mysterious alien parasites 'Corrupters' and their hosts 'Corrupted'!
- Placement Strategy - Corrupted inherits the placement strategy of autobattlers represented by TFT, AutoChess.
Considering the skills and abilities of threatening enemies, the characteristics of allies, and the tile movement system, you can lead any battle to your advantage.
The difference in just one tile's placement can lead the game to victory or defeat. - Real-Time Card System - Once the placement phase is over, characters proceed to battle automatically according to AI.
You can intervene in the battle in real-time using the 'cost' that recovers every time to play cards.
Appropriate for real-time characteristics, you can 'block skills' of enemies or deploy various techniques every moment through combinations of different card effects.
- Team-Based Deckbuilding System - Characters have a bunch of cards. Choose from 3 types and over 200 cards. The cards that appear change depending on the selected character.
You can build a deck that is relatively safe, aggressive, or doesn't directly attack.
- Card Customizing - With a unique system called Exism, you can grant additional abilities to cards. Explore various decks through Exism.
- Plugin System - It's an element that can fill the gaps in your deck and team or highlight strong elements. Sometimes it has a powerful effect that can completely change the fundamental team strategy. Challenge powerful enemies or meet unexpected fortune to strengthen your team.
- More than 20 Random Events - Change the course of your progress through various events you encounter in the Unknown.

Players appreciate the creative blend of deckbuilding and auto-battler mechanics with solid aesthetics and engaging combat, but widespread bugs and poor code quality severely hamper the experience, with cards frequently malfunctioning and translations being broken or missing. The biggest concern is that the game appears abandoned by developers, with no meaningful updates in nearly a year despite being in early access, making it risky to purchase until the developers demonstrate active support and fixes.
Honestly fun concept but can't play three stages in a row without some card not working because it's so shoddy made. It functions like a phone game from a decade ago. Either the translations are missing or terrible, and the cards just don't function or do something else. It's a solid premise made out of poop and worse code. here's hoping they can fix it, but I'm not holding my breath. Also having looked at the update history it's clearly abandoned and should be avoided.2 found this helpful
A Card Game KING review
Autobattlers like Team Fight Tactics were an obvious inspiration for the game but card fans who don't like autobattlers might still enjoy it. The game combines a few ideas together, deckbuilding, squad based play and autobattler. The autobattler part needs some clarification. While yes, your heroes do use basic attack and move by themselves, you still have full control of cards being played during the battle. You can even pause the game while you play your cards, so in a way it reminds me of a real time strategy with pause. And in a way, I wish it was, since having very little control over attacks and especially movement sometimes leads to situations where your heroes end up in weird spots with little ways to get them out of it, although it doesn't end up too often. With that being said, I enjoyed the rest of the game. It's very polished for an EA title. The design, sound and gameplay loop feel smooth. It has a very fun item combination mechanic where you can combine two items to create a new one (like in TFT). You also get stat boost items that help create very powerful heroes. The card play and deckbuilding is satisfying with two ways of upg…2 found this helpful
Fresh approach to deck building with auto-battler mechanics1 found this helpful
The combat is enjoyable and the aesthetics are pleasing to look at. Unfortunately there are quite a few bugs, which I hope get fixed soon. There's a lot of content on their backlog, including daily challenges, endless mode, new characters etc. If this content gets added and the bugs get fixed, then I believe it's worth the pricetag. I just find it unfortunate that the game definitely tanked about 10% in review score because of having a bit too many bugs, this could've been prevented.1 found this helpful
severe lack of updates. minor language update since last december makes this game seem abandoned by the developer, no meaningful updates in nearly a year . shame. no updates in 2025 thus far and the year is over half over
