Cosmic Osmo and the Worlds Beyond the Mackerel

Genuinely one of the most imaginative spaces to mess around in. Like an old website for kids way back when. You can't make it fill the whole screen though, which kinda sucks, and if you click outside of the playable interface, the whole thing breaks... EDIT: I managed to do some hacky thing, whereby I used ProtonTricks to make the game windowed, then used OBS to capture the window and blow it up using linear scaling, which did wonders for immersion. This was a wonderful way to experience this little ditty.

This is what happens when game programmers explore a Power Point like System in the very early 90s. It lead to MYST a few years later and it´s still adorable today. Especially given the fact how much you can do with so little material to work with.

Wow! Played for the first time in 2025, loved every second of it. I don't know what it was like to code games in 1989, but these guys are all star musicians and visionary dreamers. So many funny scenes and great implementation. Super fun, wish I got the chance to play as a child, but will definitely be showing to kids if opportunity arises!

It's a goofy bit of fin but the scenes sometimes get stuck and cause you to have to quit the game and restart. More satisfying than the Manhole, but I only suggest if if you feel the need to see Cyan's older works. Not worth it by today's standards.
