A: You do not need a VR headset to play Myst. Myst is playable with or without a VR headset.
Q: I bought Myst when it first came out in 1993. Can I get a free upgrade to this new version?
A: Thank you for your support over the years! We are not giving out free upgrades to previous purchasers of the original Myst. We put a lot of effort into making this new version of Myst and would appreciate your financial support again!
Q: I want to play Myst, but am concerned about my computer not meeting the minimum requirements. What should I do?
A: If your machine does not meet the minimum requirements and you still want to try Myst out, we recommend enabling one of our supersampling options through the graphics settings menu to see if it alleviates performance concerns. Depending on the storefront you purchase Myst from, you may be able to qualify for a refund through the store (not through Cyan support) if Myst does not run well on your platform. Please review each store platform refund policy for details.

I was really looking forward to playing this game after hearing all the hype for it, since I'm a big fan of puzzle games. Sadly I was disappointed. The puzzles were either way too simple or way too obtuse. And I found myself bashing my head against a wall repeatedly, and not in the fun way. The fact it took me two hours to complete a single puzzle at the very start of the game, because I missed a note lying on a random rock, probably spoiled the rest of the experience. But I feel my opinion would still be largely the same. Mainly because I feel the fundamental flaw with the game is that its sometimes way to direct, basically handing the answer to you. And sometimes it doesn't even try to hint at what your goal for a puzzle even is. Plus it often forces you to jump through a bunch of hoops just to retry a puzzle. I also didn't find the story very interesting. It had potential for depth but ended up pretty shallow and predictable. Okay, I know I've been bashing it, but it's not a horrible game by any means. Some of the puzzles were fun and rewarding, plus the visuals are nice. My favorite part was actually the post endgame Age. Very dissapointing, usually I enjoy puzzle games. Maybe people like it for some nostalgic reason, seems not worth more than a couple of euros. Graphics for a remake on Unreal Engine is a joke, looks very bad, like someone made it over a couple of weekends. Sound/Music are bad and annoying. Random stutters on Linux, graphics settings seems not to impact that.
This is the 2nd best version of Myst and Myst is Myst so thumbs up.
If you enjoy puzzle games with little direction as to what to do, then this game is for you! Just challenging enough to keep you engaged without being super frustrating.
