What Steam players say

Crash'em Derby is a demolition derby game with responsive controls and satisfying destruction physics that appeals to players who enjoy the arcade racing survival genre, but it suffers from a dead multiplayer population with no meaningful single-player content, making it unplayable as intended. While some players praise the fun gameplay mechanics and community aspects, the game ultimately failed as a PvP-exclusive title with low production quality and poor asset design, similar to many other multiplayer-only games that struggle to maintain player bases on Steam.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There are no available servers and no player population. This game cannot be played as intended.
This is one of those games that's so bad I can't tell if it's an asset flip or not because the assets look terrible. That doesn't mean the developer didn't rip off some terrible assets... a bit like going shoplifting but just stealing a store brand sack of flour or some toothpicks or something. Regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here was deplorably low. So, Crash'em Derby is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral". This game failed for many of the same reasons those others fail. The chief of which is the developer thinking that their game will "go viral" without actually creating any reason for it do so. Competition amongst PvP centric games is extreme, and there's only a finite player base to appeal to. This game failed to reach any kind of critical mass and died as a result. Let's go into some of the reasons this particular game failed to appeal…1 found this helpful
Before I played Crash'em Derby, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
